Enid Blyton was my favourite author as a child, and it's lovely to see kids today still reading her work. The Enchanted Wood is the first book from her Magic Faraway series, and, as the name suggests, is filled with awe, wonder and magic.
Three children move to the countryside and discover the Enchanted Wood right onntheir doorstep... which leads them to the Faraway Tree wherein reside magical creatures who become their best friends and take them on adventures to faraway fascinating places.
A lovely book to spawn the imagination of young children, and make them fall in love with books.
